And the games...BEGIN!

Thanks to Robbie and Robert for getting the draw out for our first week of play: Singles and Mixed doubles! Play begins tomorrow (Monday) at 5:30pm. First up are Jason Miller vs Dave Solusky, attorney versus attorney (will love to see them challenge some line calls!) with Donovan Hamm vs Carl Beckstedt, and Zach "Attack" Armstrong vs. Caleb Phelps. These two had a close match in doubles several months ago at the Buccaneer. I am sure Zack will be out for some revenge. Rounding out the 5:30 matches will be Anton Kuipers vs. Chad Caven. Will Anton have the home court advantage? Come see! 7:00 will have Susan Armstrong vs Patty Hensley and Stephanie Harris vs. Joanie Kupfer in A singles. I see mental toughness, craftiness, big shots...and some fabulous outfits in the future. Rounding out the rest of the 7:00pm matches will pit former doubles partners Robby Stamper and Larry Kupfer. Did I say "former"...hmmm...did Larry dump Robby or Robby dump Larry? Will there be some drama on the court?! Then...Michael Armendariz takes on an....uhm....I am not sure but I think its an oompa loompa. How on earth did this happen?! Does the Tennis Club have to pay royalties for an appearance by a character from Willy Wonka? My Heineken tennis bag is older then this little fella and as a matter of fact, I think he could fit inside. Either way, its time for him to MAN UP and have a before match Heineken (do I hear...SPONSOR?!) with Michael before the match. Alec Kuipers...IAM BUYING!
