First to complete: In a match of two best dressed teams...Debbie Woodson and Michael Armendariz took on Team Bazinga, Sue Gibbons and Jake Hikel. A lot of history going on with this team...but Team Bazinga met up with Team Bazooka. Cross court to cross court exchanges with Sue and Debbie with Michael poaching at the net. "Lefty" Jake confused Debbie for a bit but Bazooka prevailed with a win of 6-1, 6-2.
Next to finish...Flavia "Cougar" Logie with Boy Toy Alex Elizee take on the ever sassy Marcia O'Neale and Alexis "where are my keys?!" Camarena. Flavia take the first set 6-2 and are up in the second set, but Marcia and Alexis storm back to tie it up at 4-4. Flavia and Alex take charge at the net and take the second set 7-5. "There is NO WAY we were gonna surrender the set", said Flavia after the match. Alexis said, "What?!"
A three set battle between Barb Robbins and Marcel Galiber and Sharon Quinn and Larry Kupfer ensued where the players not only had to battle each other, but the boisterous antics of the peanut gallery in the upstairs galley. Barb and Marcel prevail in the third to set up a showdown between Debbie and Michael...who say...BRING IT ON!
